Former Newcastle legend Alan Shearer named a Premier League Team of the Week consisting of entirely Leicester City players, lauding them for their spirit and resilience to beat Cardiff after the tragic death of their chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

Shearer said their performance against the Bluebirds reminded him of the Foxes’ fairytale march to the Premier League title in 2016.

Other Teams of the Week also had Leicester players- Garth Crooks’ team of the Week had space for both Kasper Schmeichel and Wes Morgan, while Robbie Savage also selected Schmeichel and left back Ben Chillwell.
