Leicester City’s four game winning streak (wins against Spurs, Burnley, Newcastle and Southampton) was brought to an abrupt halt as they suffered a 3-0 loss at the King Power Stadium to Crystal Palace over the weekend. The Eagles have managed to resurrect themselves under new manager Roy Hodgson and beat the Foxes 3-0 thanks to goals from Benteke, Zaha and Sako. Ndidi saw red for the Foxes on the hour mark.
Leicester’s next two games are against Manchester United and Man City. With 7th placed Spurs losing to Man City, this was a missed opportunity by Leicester to reduce the gap between themselves and the Lilywhites to two points (After MD 18, Leicester are 8th with 26 points, Spurs are 7th with 31)
Palace, while breaking Leicester’s four game winning streak, also created a record of their own- according to Soccer Blogger, this is the first time they’ve gone seven games without defeat in the history of the modern Prem. Quite a turn around from Roy Hodgson- they’re now 14th in the league table.
