Vardy inks new Foxes deal

Jamie Vardy has pledged his future to Leicester City after inking a new contract that will keep him at the King Power Stadium till June 2022. Vardy, 31, joined the Foxes from Fleetwood Town and was an instrumental part of their title winning campaign. He was also part of the England squad that finished fourth at the recently concluded World Cup.

After the departures of N’Golo Kante and Riyad Mahrez, Vardy is one of LCFC’s few marquee players, and manager Claude Puel will be hoping that he can help the club reverse their losing trend in their league opener. Leicester’s head to head record against United does not make for pretty reading, especially at Old Trafford, where the Foxes have won only once since the commencement of the PL.
