With the new league season just around the corner, we thought we’d take stock of Leicester City’s signings for the summer so far. Claude Puel added Rachid Ghezzal to his ranks earlier this week, taking the number of major arrivals at the King Power this summer to 5.
Major transfers in for Leicester:
Jonny Evans (WBA)
James Maddison (Norwich)
Ricardo Pereira (Porto)
Danny Ward (Liverpool)
Rachid Ghezzal (Monaco)
Major transfers out
Robert Huth
Riyad Mahrez
Ahmed Musa
Clubs have been busy in the market looking to bring in players to challenge Man City but that does look an ominous task as City have further invested in there star studded squad with our 2016 PFA Player of the year winner in Riyad Mahrez. This was for £60 million and had been in the pipe work for some time having failed to land him last season. We know his ability and this is likely to be money well spent for City.
Many punters have already been looking to bet on the Premier League with Manchester City the strong favourites to follow up on their incredible season last year. Betfair make them just 8/13 which is a fair reflection considering their domination that included breaking the goal scoring record and hitting the 100 points total. An incredible achievement. There nearest challengers in the market are last season’s Champions league runners up Liverpool at 4/1 with rivals Manchester United then in next at 15/2.
Leicester also need to make sure they keep Maguire as he stamped himself down as one of the top centre backs in world football in Russia over the summer.
Mahrez is one this market’s top transfers, as can be seen below.
