Foxes sign Algerian international Ghezzal

Leicester City have today completed the signing of Algerian international Rachid Ghezzal from French Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco. The 26 year old becomes the club’ fifth signing of the summer after Danny Ward, Ricardo Pereira, Jonny Evans and James Maddison and is known to current boss Claude Puel from the latter’s time at Olympique Lyonnais.

It’s also a case of one Algerian out, another in, with Leicester letting Ghezzal’s compatriot Riyad Mahrez leave the King Power Stadium earlier this summer.

Ghezzal has put pen to paper a four year contract with the Foxes. The transfer fee was not officially revealed but reports in France have it to be around the 15 million euro mark. The Algerian made 35 appearances across all competitions for Monaco, including four in the Champions League.
