Jamie Vardy’s first half penalty and Riyad Mahrez’s superb individual strike in second half stoppage time saw Leicester beat Watford 2-0 at the King Power yesterday afternoon. The win also saw the Foxes move ahead of Burnley, with Sean Dyche’s side going down to Manchester United at home.

The result has prompted the Watford board to part ways with Marco Silva. The Hornets have won only one of their last eleven and are 10th in the table at the time of Silva’s dismissal. However the board have said in an official statement that Everton’s approach for Silva had affected his focus, leading to the decision to part ways
