What's your favourite restaurant in Leicester?

Mine's The Case. My partner and I have been there a few times, and the food has always been spectacular and the service genuine and friendly. Even on Valentine's Day, when it was pretty crowded, the service was impeccable.

I also really liked Maiyango, but then I love "interesting" food - the Case is much more conventional

The Quarter does good food too, but the portions are ridiculously small, so we didn't think it was good value for money.

Anyone tried Watson's? That looks good but we've never been.

For cheaper eats, I love La Tasca - you can usually get some great 2 for 1 deals, which makes it ridiculously cheap, and it's a great tapas restaurant. Nandos and Las Iguanas is good, too - their Ximxim chicken with lime, coconut and peanuts is fabulous! They also do crazily cheap deals if you eat early.

I can also heartily recommend Dos Hermanos in Queen's Road for breakfast (Saturday and Sunday only) - you can build your own "Full Monty" or "Half Monty" breakfast, great service and atmosphere: see Bar Dos Hermanos, Bar, Leicester, Cuban American Bar. The guy who runs this place also runs Barceloneta next door which I think is the best tapas bar in Leicester: Barceloneta, Restaurant, Bar, Leicester, Tapas, Tapas Leicester, Mediterranean, Spain, Wine, Spanish Wine (I love La Tasca too - Barceloneta is better, but not as cheap).
